Linking energy access to the productive use of energy is vital for increasing the income of the poor and to improve livelihoods. Six centres from the Global Network on Energy for Sustainable Development (GNESD) in Africa, Asia and Latin America have applied the "Energy Plus" approach to analyse energy access and productive use of energy in different countries.
